How To Add A User To Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a very insightful tool for monitoring, analyzing and evaluating the traffic profile of your website(s).  Even more useful is the ability to share your traffic data safely with other users. As one of the leading website brokers, FE International will typically need access to this information to facilitate a business valuation, prepare marketing materials and respond to due diligence inquiries.

To provide us with access, follow the simple instructions below. Note, this works for giving any third party access. Firstly, log in to your Google Analytics dashboard and ensure you are at the home screen. From here, click on ‘Admin’ to go into settings.

GA 1

From this page, navigate to ‘User Management’ to configure the users that have permission to access your traffic data.

GA 2

Now to add a new user, simply complete the dialogue box with the recipient’s email address. Make sure to check “Notify this user by email” and ensure that the permissions are set to “Read & Analyze” only. The new user will receive a notification by email of their access to your traffic data.

GA 3

And that’s all there is to it. To remove access, simply follow the same process and choose remove on the user you’ve added.
