Amazon associates have allegedly received emails detailing tiered commission rates to incentivize sales in qualified categories ahead of Prime Day, which still does not have an official date in the calendar. According to one associate, the email states that tiered performance rates will begin October 1st and run through the end of the month.

On Monday, Google Webmasters tweeted out that its Search Console reporting was experiencing “longer than usual” delays. This particular problem does not affect Google’s ability to crawl, index, or rank pages, rather, this issue only affects reporting. This could result in pages that were recently published to be left off the Index Coverage report, even though they have been indexed. The issue is still unresolved, but Google Webmasters mentioned in their tweet to check their twitter page for updates. Until Google rectifies the issue, the easiest way to check if a page has been indexed is to utilize Google’s “site:” operator in Google Search.

Recently, WordPress published new information detailing why WordPress 5.5 caused complications for millions of websites. WordPress describes the situation: “In WordPress 5.5 the global JavaScript objects listed below were removed without being deprecated. WordPress 5.5.1 adds a backfill for these globals so they no longer cause JavaScript errors.” Essentially, 5.5 was crashing sites thanks to an older plugin that relied on jQuery Migrate Library to function. The plugin stopped working after WordPress removed that library. WordPress released version 5.5.1 on September 1st to address the issue and help software developers fix both their plugins and themes.
